Dennis James Taylor
Professor

Dennis J. Taylor is Professor of Biology at Hiram College and core faculty at the Shoals Marine Laboratory of Cornell University and the University of New Hampshire.  He is science co-director of the Igniting Streams of Learning In Science Collaborative of thirty school districts, three universities, over a dozen public agencies and private industries all dedicated to improving learning in Science Technology Engineering Math and Medical education.

He has co-led 15 study abroad programs on four continents since 1984, including two round-the-world interdisciplinary science and literature programs for ninety days studying all major Biomes of the World.  As founder and Director of Hiram’s Center for International Studies, Prof. Taylor lectured extensive in 40 countries on ecology and improving learning while helping international students and their advisors and learning from them.

His most recent work is in the field of biomonitoring, incorporating real science protocols into high school and university science curricula.
