Saima Rashid
General Manager Training for the Northern Region, Beaconhouse Group

Saima Rashid has had a two-decade long association with the Beaconhouse School System and has provided strong insights into the variety of experiences, challenges and opportunities that she has encountered at Beaconhouse.

She is presently working as General Manager in Training for the Northern Region. However, her career spans all aspects of education, from imparting education to managing a school, branching out into preparing academic programmes and curricula, developing and strengthening Beaconhouse’s evaluation functions, and overseeing human resource development activities in the region.

In between, she also performed various administrative and managerial functions in the regional office.

Her involvement in the monitoring and evaluation team involved determining what quality of education was being delivered; ascertaining the utility of various models for evaluating school performance, and acquiring top-of-the-line expertise in evaluation methodologies and their application. She finds her association with this team to be one of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of her work. Not only does this contribute towards enhancing the quality of teaching and learning activities at the schools, it also highlights the commitment of leadership and management shown by Beaconhouse towards continuous self evaluation and adaptation, in order to continually enhance the quality of education imparted at/by Beaconhouse.
