Kaye Heasman
Development Director, EtonHouse International Pre School

Kaye Heasman had initially trained in New Zealand as an early childhood teacher and Head Teacher. After 20 years, she gained further experience in Educational Leadership as an Education Services Manager for a large Kindergarten Association employing 84 teachers and operating 28 Kindergartens. Her responsibilities included Professional Development, buildings, equipment, curriculum implementation, appraisals of staff and overseeing a Maori language unit.

For five years, she taught 4 to 6 year olds in International and private schools that operated a dual curriculum i.e. English/Arabic. Ms. Heasman also did consultancy and advisory work in Education Reform projects which entailed curriculum and professional leadership development. Over the years, her positions as Curriculum Advisor, Management Advisor and Director brought forth challenges and, after overcoming them, a great deal of satisfaction.

In New Zealand she was appointed as an Education Review Officer, and for two years was responsible for the review of the quality of teaching and learning in early childhood centres, primary schools and secondary schools.

Currently she is employed as the Development Director for Eton House International Pre-School in South Korea.
